2024 BAYWOOD HOME MAINTENANCE AWARD WINNERS: BOB AND KATHY LIBERATORE

At the September 16th City Council meeting, residents from neighborhoods across San Mateo were presented with their 2024 Home Maintenance Awards. The award celebrates residents who take pride in their home’s appearance and represent all that is beautiful about San Mateo.
This year’s Baywood winners are Bob and Kathy Liberatore who live on Franklin Street. Bob has personally tended to their yard since they moved to Baywood. Their flowers and trees have “blossomed” under his care.
As part of their Baywood Home Maintenance Award, Bob and Kathy received a $100 Gift Card from the Baywood Neighborhood Association to any local business. They chose The Barrel Bistro and Wine Bar on the B Street Pedestrian Mall. We hope they have a delicious time.
Thank you, Bob and Kathy, for showing everyone why Baywood is such a great neighborhood!
UPDATE ON ALAMEDA-PARROTT INTERSECTION

The majority of neighbors responding to the post-August 22nd community meeting survey on the Alameda-Parrott intersection preferred solid colored striping for the pedestrian-level markings vs. cross-mark hatching. They also endorsed the addition of planter boxes at some point in the future, depending on feasibility and cost.
You can see all the survey results at https://www.cityofsanmateo.org/3129/Baywood.
You also can read the full history of the Baywood Traffic Action Plan and watch the August 22nd meeting on the City webpage.
Staff is working on the timing of next steps and we will share them with you as soon as we know them.
Thank you for being engaged on this important issue for all of us!
